Over the summer in the peak of their bloom, I harvested different varieties - limelights, oak leafs, wee whites, endless summer. While I love this flower freshly clipped, I am deeply fascinated by the way the hydrangea petals hold their color and shape when dried.
Focusing on just one flower for this collection allowed me the freedom to play with scale and color. I drew inspiration for both directly from the botanicals themselves and created a body of work of which I’m very proud. I love the story these pieces tell together and the distinct beauty of each individual botanical.
Coming in at twenty pieces of various sizes this is my largest collection yet and my last of 2023.
